Shipping policy
Shipping Policy
This Shipping Policy applies to orders placed through offroadjuniors.com.au.
Offroad Juniors sells large electric ride-on cars, buggies and related products. Because many products are bulky and heavy, delivery methods, costs and timeframes may vary depending on the product and destination.
Order processing
Orders are generally processed within 1–3 business days after payment has been confirmed.
Orders placed on weekends or Victorian public holidays will be processed on the next business day.
Processing times may be longer during:
- Sales and promotional periods
- Christmas and public holiday periods
- Product launches
- Supplier or warehouse delays
- Pre-order periods
Processing time is separate from the estimated delivery time.
Delivery locations
We deliver to eligible residential and commercial addresses throughout Australia.
Some regional, rural or remote locations may:
- Require additional delivery time
- Attract an additional freight charge
- Require collection from the nearest freight depot
- Be unavailable for direct delivery
We currently do not ship internationally unless agreed with us in writing before purchase.
Shipping costs
Shipping costs are calculated based on:
- Product size and weight
- Delivery postcode
- Number of products ordered
- Freight-provider charges
- Delivery access requirements
- Whether residential, commercial or depot delivery is selected
The applicable shipping cost will normally be displayed at checkout.
For oversized products or remote locations, the checkout price may be an estimate. We may contact you before dispatch if an additional freight charge applies.
We will not charge an additional amount without first notifying you and receiving your agreement. You may cancel the affected order for a full refund if you do not accept the additional charge.
Estimated delivery times
Estimated delivery times after dispatch are generally:
Melbourne metropolitan area: 1–5 business days
Other Victorian areas: 2–7 business days
Sydney, Adelaide and Canberra metropolitan areas: 3–8 business days
Brisbane and South-East Queensland: 4–10 business days
Perth, Tasmania, Northern Territory and remote areas: 7–15 business days
These timeframes are estimates only and may vary depending on stock location, destination, carrier capacity and external delays.
Any estimated delivery date shown on our website, at checkout or in an order confirmation is not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed by us in writing.
We will provide clear information about known delivery delays and work with the customer to provide an appropriate solution where an order cannot be supplied within the promised or a reasonable time.
Order tracking
Where tracking is available, tracking details will be emailed or sent by text message after the order has been dispatched.
Tracking information may take up to 24–48 hours to become active after collection by the carrier.
Some bulky freight providers may contact you directly to arrange delivery.
Bulky-item delivery
Ride-on cars and buggies are large and heavy products. They may be delivered:
- In a large carton
- On a pallet
- By a specialised bulky-goods carrier
- To a nearby freight depot for collection
Standard delivery is generally to a safe, accessible, ground-level location.
Unless otherwise agreed, standard delivery does not include:
- Carrying products upstairs
- Delivery inside a home
- Unpacking
- Assembly
- Removal of packaging
- Placement in a particular room
- Delivery through narrow or restricted access areas
The customer is responsible for arranging suitable assistance to safely move heavy cartons after delivery.
Delivery access
Before ordering, please tell us about any access restrictions, including:
- Stairs
- Apartments or high-rise buildings
- Narrow roads or driveways
- Low-clearance areas
- Building loading-dock requirements
- Security gates
- Construction sites
- Difficult parking
- Remote or unsealed roads
Additional delivery charges may apply where the customer has not disclosed access restrictions before dispatch.
The carrier may deliver the product to the nearest safe and accessible location if the delivery address cannot be safely accessed.
Residential deliveries
For residential deliveries, someone may need to be available to receive and sign for the order.
The carrier may contact the customer before delivery, but an exact delivery time may not always be available.
Please ensure your telephone number and delivery address are correct when placing the order.
Commercial-address delivery
A commercial delivery address should:
- Be attended during normal business hours
- Have safe access for a delivery vehicle
- Have suitable unloading facilities where required
- Not be a home-based business unless disclosed
A forklift or loading dock may be required for certain palletised products.
Depot collection
For some areas, depot collection may be the safest or most economical shipping option.
Where depot collection applies:
- We will provide the depot details when available.
- The customer must bring suitable identification.
- The customer must collect within the carrier’s permitted timeframe.
- Storage charges may apply if the product is not collected promptly.
- The customer must arrange a suitable vehicle and safe loading method.
Authority to leave
Where available, you may request authority to leave the order without a signature.
By selecting authority to leave, you authorise the carrier to leave the order at a reasonably safe location at the delivery address.
Please choose a location that is:
- Protected from weather
- Not visible from the street
- Accessible to the driver
- Large enough for the product
- Free from safety hazards
The carrier may refuse to leave the order if the location is considered unsafe or unsuitable.
Subject to Australian Consumer Law, Offroad Juniors is not responsible for theft, weather exposure or damage occurring after an order has been correctly delivered under an authority-to-leave request.
Incorrect addresses
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, postcode, email address and telephone number.
Please contact us immediately if you notice an error.
Once the order has been dispatched, address changes may not be possible. Additional redirection, return or redelivery charges may apply.
Offroad Juniors is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect or incomplete delivery information provided by the customer.
Missed deliveries and redelivery
Where delivery cannot be completed because:
- No authorised person is available
- The premises are inaccessible
- The address is incorrect
- Safe unloading is not possible
- The customer refuses delivery without a valid reason
the carrier may return the product to a depot or warehouse.
The customer may be responsible for reasonable redelivery, storage and return freight charges, except where the failed delivery was caused by us or the carrier.
Delays
Delivery may be delayed because of circumstances including:
- Severe weather
- Road closures
- Natural disasters
- Carrier congestion
- Public holidays
- Industrial action
- Warehouse disruptions
- Supplier delays
- Mechanical breakdowns
- Government restrictions
- Events outside our reasonable control
We will take reasonable steps to provide updates and arrange an appropriate solution.
Where an order cannot be delivered within the agreed timeframe, or within a reasonable timeframe where no date was agreed, the customer may be entitled to cancel and receive a refund under Australian Consumer Law.
Pre-orders and backorders
Products marked as pre-order or backorder are not available for immediate dispatch.
Estimated arrival dates are provided in good faith but may change because of manufacturing, customs, shipping or supplier delays.
We will notify you of a significant delay and provide available options, which may include:
- Waiting for the product
- Selecting an alternative product
- Cancelling the affected item for a refund
Split shipments
Where an order contains multiple products, we may send the products separately.
You will not be charged additional shipping fees for a split shipment unless an additional service or delivery arrangement has been requested and agreed.
Inspecting your delivery
Please inspect the carton before accepting or opening the product.
Where there is visible damage:
- Photograph all sides of the carton.
- Note the damage on the delivery record where possible.
- Photograph the shipping label.
- Keep the packaging.
- Carefully inspect the product and parts.
- Contact us as soon as possible.
Do not assemble, charge or use a product that appears seriously damaged or unsafe.
Products damaged during delivery
Please report delivery damage within 48 hours where reasonably possible.
Include:
- Your order number
- Photographs of the packaging
- Photographs or video of the damage
- A description of the issue
- Confirmation of any missing items
The 48-hour reporting request helps us investigate the matter with the carrier. It does not remove or limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
The seller remains responsible for resolving problems involving products that are missing or damaged during delivery arranged by the seller.
Missing products or parts
If your tracking shows that an order was delivered but you cannot locate it, please:
- Check the delivery location and surrounding area.
- Ask other occupants of the property.
- Check with reception, building management or nearby neighbours.
- Review any delivery photographs or carrier notifications.
- Contact us promptly.
If a product, carton, component or accessory is missing, contact us with photographs showing everything received.
We will investigate the issue and arrange an appropriate remedy where required.
Incorrect products
If you receive a product different from the one ordered, do not assemble or use it.
Contact us with your order number and photographs of:
- The received product
- The carton
- The model label
- The shipping label
Where we supplied the wrong product, we will arrange collection or return and provide an appropriate replacement or refund without charging the customer reasonable return freight.
Collection from our warehouse
Warehouse collection may be available for selected products by prior arrangement.
Do not attend the warehouse until we have confirmed that the order is ready.
The person collecting may be required to provide:
- Order confirmation
- Photo identification
- Written authorisation from the purchaser
The customer is responsible for bringing a suitable vehicle and safely securing the product.
Risk and ownership
Ownership of the product passes to the customer after full payment has been received.
Risk generally passes when the product is delivered to the customer or a person authorised by the customer, subject to Australian Consumer Law.
Returns
Shipping costs and procedures for returns, exchanges, faulty products and change-of-mind requests are explained in our Return and Refund Policy.
Nothing in this Shipping Policy excludes, restricts or modifies rights available under Australian Consumer Law. Store policies cannot override applicable consumer guarantees.
